A trainee is sought to join the Advanced Nephrology Course (ANC) faculty as Course Director - Trainee.
The ANC is an annual, multi-day education course run by the UKKA which is particularly beneficial for those preparing for specialist clinical exams in nephrology. The course is delivered by leading experts in nephrology.
The role (alongside other Course Directors):
- Agree a work plan and objectives at the start of the course planning period with the event manager, ensuring alignment with the strategic direction.
- Programme development; ensuring the development of an educational programme that covers relevant topics relating to the kidney curriculum and exams.
- Ensure that the needs of nephrology trainees are met by the course objectives and content
Communication
- Demonstrates ability to communicate with course directors, staff, faculty members, and other groups
- Knowledgeable about and committed to the course’s area of activity and demonstrates an understanding of the key issues it faces
Participation
- Demonstrates active participation in the affairs of the association and/or the renal community
Leadership
- Demonstrates ability to create a positive work atmosphere
Administrative skills
- Has the ability and capacity to self-motivate and deliver the course objective
- Understands and supports orderly procedures for conducting work.
- Demonstrates an understanding of how to ensure delivery of the course objectives.

The Course Director - Trainee will serve for three years. Applicants must be current UKKA members.
